Singer Evgeny Martynov biography personal life. Evgeny Martynov - biography, information, personal life. Studying at the conservatory

The brothers Yura and Zhenya had one common passion - music.

Evgeny Martynov - Soviet pop singer, composer, musician (May 22, 1948 - September 3, 1990)
The wife of the author of "Swan Faithfulness" immediately after his death had an abortion and got together with another man.

24 years ago, on September 3, 1990, at the age of 42, a wonderful singer and composer Yevgeny MARTYNOV, the author of the songs "Swan Faithfulness", "Apple Trees in Bloom", "Alyonushka" and others, passed away.

According to the official version, his heart refused to enter his own house, and help came too late. However, Evgeny's younger brother - Honored Artist of Russia, composer Yuri MARTYNOV - believes that the circumstances of the singer's death are far from so unambiguous.

Yuri Grigorievich, before his death, your brother was in litigation with people who threw him for a large sum ...
- These were the organizers of his tour of the Ryazan region, who did not pay his brother a fee. Zhenya signed a contract with their firm, so he was sure that he would win the case. However, it turned out that the company was registered in the name of dummies, and repeat offenders were hiding behind their documents. The next court hearing was supposed to take place on September 4, 1990, but due to the death of the plaintiff, the case was closed.

MARTYNOV named his only son Sergei in honor of ESENIN and RACHMANINOV.

Last year, a representative of that company allegedly came to the TV program of Andrei Malakhov, dedicated to the memory of Martynov. He began to make excuses, they say, the unscrupulous partner took advantage of his seal and signature. He stated that he felt guilty towards Martynov and asked for forgiveness from his mother. Baby talk! They owed Zhenya 10 thousand rubles. This was in Soviet times, when the Volga cost 15 thousand, and a three-room apartment could be bought for nine! Get your money back based on the refinancing rate! Otherwise, what kind of forgiveness can we talk about ?!

The death of your brother was initially associated with the trial ...
- The assumptions arose after the erroneous information about the bandit attack on the composer Martynov, published in MK two weeks before his death. In fact, they attacked another Martynov - the actor of the Mayakovsky Theater. At that time my brother was not even in Moscow. Nevertheless, rumors circulated for a long time that Zhenya was beaten because of the trial with criminals. In principle, claims are inherited.

And I was ready to continue the litigation on behalf of the heirs. But Zhenya's widow Ella (Evelina Starenchenko) went into hysterics. “My child is growing, he is dearer to me than money,” she said. "I forbid you to do this business."

But the police were investigating, weren't they?
- If, in the opinion of the police, there are no signs of a crime, a report is written about the incident, and the issue is closed. Interrogated the grandmother, who found her brother in the entrance, and other residents. It was established that Zhenya came to the entrance with two men. Later they said that Martynov gave them money for vodka and they drank with him. There are many questions, but no one bothered to ask them. What exactly did you drink? Is everything from one bottle? According to the men, when they entered the entrance, my brother felt bad and he fell in the elevator. Why did they leave him and run away? Why did one man enter the elevator with Zhenya, and the other stayed downstairs?

Further - the most crime. The police arrived and began to bring Zhenya to his senses - slap on his cheeks and give him a sniff of ammonia. A doctor came from the children's hospital opposite and gave his brother an injection. After that, he died. According to the Sklifosovsky Institute, a large amount of ammonia was found in Yevgeny's mouth. But they don't drink ammonia. To bring a person to their senses, a moistened cotton wool is enough. And all of Zhenya's clothes smelled of that alcohol. But this fact has not been investigated. Heart failure was declared the cause of death.

What do you think really happened?
- Apparently, Zhenya became ill due to poisoning. Either the vodka was "burned", or something was poured into him in order to "cut down" and rob him. When the police arrived, my brother was breathing, there was no need to touch him. And they began to "help" him. It seems that ammonia was not just given to sniff, but literally poured into it. But this drug, once on the mucous membrane, immediately causes swelling, and the person cannot inhale. Most likely, death was caused by negligence.

Many Soviet stars performed MARTYNOV's songs:
for Lyudmila ZYKINA, he wrote such hits as "Tell me, Mom" and "Do not fall out of love with me"

Have you tried to get additional verification done?
- We need a resolution from the prosecutor's office. But the case did not reach the prosecutor, because according to the police documents there were no signs of a crime. Naturally, everyone benefits from presenting this as an accident. And at that moment, psychologically, I could not do this. Then we started a confrontation with Zhenya's widow Ella. I had to share something, including copyright.

There was another twofold situation - shortly after Yevgeny's death, Ella asked me to help her get an abortion. For a long time I was tormented by doubts: from whom is the child? As a result, he brought her to the right people. And a month later she was already with another dude with whom she now lives in Spain.

Several years later, I began to write a book about him in earnest about the circumstances of Zhenya's death. But it was no longer possible to reopen the case. In the early 90s, all districts of Moscow and the corresponding police departments were reorganized. And all the materials on the circumstances of Zhenya's death disappeared without a trace.

The artist's grave at the Novo-Kuntsevsky cemetery in Moscow is always buried in flowers.

I know you are still suing someone?
- There was a lawsuit with the wife of Yanukovych. The Yevgeny Martynov International Festival has been held in Ukraine nine times. At the first, Yanukovych himself was the chairman of the organizing committee, and I was the chairman of the jury. The most famous artists and members of the jury were invited. But no one was paid any money. After that, I refused to cooperate with them and demanded to stop the further holding of the festival. But the Ukrainians continued to hold the Yevgeny Martynov festival. Without listing a penny for his songs and without asking permission to perform them.

The General Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine took control of the issue, but nothing was achieved. And since last autumn, on behalf of Martynov's mother, I have been conducting a legal battle with the creators of the television program "Dostoyanie Respubliki". In one of the episodes, the song "Apple Trees in Blossom" sounded in a disfigured form. They called me and were indignant at how I allowed this. And they didn't even contact me! Under Copyright Law, any performance of a work with new orchestration requires permission from the authors or their heirs.

Fake robbery

Maybe the creators of the show are not to blame? The song could be reworked by the performer.
- "Apple Trees in Blossom" in the program was performed by Sergei Zakharov. Of course, he also participated in the creation of illegal processing. But it was broadcast by Channel One, which should be held accountable. Its representatives shift responsibility to the program producers - the Red Square company. Representatives of "Kvadrat" say that they paid the Russian Authors' Society and do not owe anyone else.
And on February 22 of this year I was attacked near my house. They beat me badly, took away my briefcase. But it didn't look like a robbery. They took not money or a mobile phone, but two floppy disks with documents on my court cases. A criminal case was initiated. But as the investigator confessed to me: "You see, animals of this color are not for our graze."

The song "Apple Trees in Blossom" also has a lyricist - Ilya Reznik. Is he also suing the "Dostoyanie of the Republic"?
- At first he supported me. Said: "These bastards take all the best and smear." But Reznik did not come to court. Another co-author of Martynov, Andrei Dementyev, did not support me either. “You shouldn't have started this,” he said. "And because of this, they were angry not only with you, but also with me." This is despite the fact that it is generally impossible to agree on copyright with Dementyev. He asks for a huge fee.

“I'm not against the release of the disc,” he justifies. “But my wife Anya deals with such issues.” And Anna has a short conversation: "Either they pay us the amount we are interested in, or we don't need it." Reznik is asking for the same unaffordable money. Personally, when someone wants to release another CD or DVD with Martynov's songs, I give permission on symbolic terms. But these two are not enough. Because of this, in recent years, discs with his brother's songs have not been released at all.

The family life of Ella and Eugene began with great love, and ended with scandals and mutual reproaches. According to the singer's brother, Zhenya sometimes complained to him: "I know that all Elkin's love for me rests only on material comfort."

However, the younger brother Yuri Martynov is sure that the death could be violent. So, before his death, the singer waged a lawsuit with people who deceived him for a large sum. These were the organizers of his tour of the Ryazan region, who did not pay Martynov a fee. He signed a contract with their firm and was confident that he would win the case. On July 23, 1984, the couple had a son, Sergei. It was named after the composer Sergei Rachmaninoff and the poet Sergei Yesenin. Sergei Martynov is very similar to his father. Sergei was only six years old when Martynov died.

Coming from a simple family, he managed to graduate with honors from the Music and Pedagogical Institute, where the teachers gave him the nickname "Gift" for his unique talent. Several years after graduating from the institute, he came to Moscow, already becoming a real gift for millions of Soviet people. His pure and light lyrical songs sounded almost every day from all repeaters, giving the listeners joy and faith in a bright tomorrow.

Talented student Evgeny Martynov

On that fateful day Martynov I had to take my father to the clinic, meet with a lawyer, settle the issue of a business trip abroad. The artist did not feel well, but it was necessary to repair the "Volga", which suddenly broke down so inopportunely. Martynov went to a taxi driver who had once helped him repair a car. Together with another car enthusiast, he entered the elevator of one of the neighboring houses, where he felt bad, and his companion, frightened, fled without even calling an ambulance.

FACTS

There is a street in Artemovsk Evgenia Martynova, on the house in Kamyshin, where he was born - a memorial plaque; a song festival named after Martynova.

If any song is criticized Evgeny replied that the people liked her, he happened to be told: "The people need to be educated." And they often found fault with the lyrics. Back in 1975 Evgeny Martynov and Dementyev had to persuade the editor-in-chief of Central Television for a long time that the words “the swan could not fly to distant lands” had nothing to do with the emigration of Jews.

In his work, Yevgeny Martynov relied on the most successful lyrical or civic poems of I.R. Reznik, A.D.Dementyev, R.I.Rozhdestvensky, M.S.Plyatskovsky and other prominent Soviet poets. Martynov's melodies are beautiful, sometimes very whimsical, light and soulful, well orchestrated.

Martynov's voice is a very sonorous, velvety soft tenor (baritone tenor), of a fairly wide range (he was offered to become an opera singer) and with a rare beautiful timbre. It is the characteristic timbre that is the hallmark of Martynov's voice. Yevgeny Martynov's life was tragically cut short in the forty-third year, on September 3, 1990. The official cause of death is acute heart failure.
The circumstances of death are described ambiguously by eyewitnesses. According to a casual acquaintance, the singer felt bad in the elevator. Probably, Martynov could have been saved if qualified medical assistance had been provided to him on time. Buried at the Kuntsevo cemetery in Moscow. Shortly before his death, on August 27, 1990, at the qualifying edition of the Song of the Year - 90 festival, he performed his last song, Maryina Roshcha, to the lyrics by Ilya Reznik.

Zhenya was supposed to take his father to the clinic, but his car stubbornly wouldn't start. And he went to look for a locksmith, who had once already helped him fix it. On the way I went to the police station, talked to the guys I knew, asked them for a glass of vodka - said that my heart ached. There was no vodka, and he went on.
An hour and a half later, the police called back home, my mother answered the phone. She was told that a misfortune had happened to Zhenya and he was in the hospital. They promised to call back, but there was still no call. Then the father himself went to the police station - he, as a man and a soldier, was told the truth.

Zhenya was found unconscious at the entrance of the sixth building of house No. 10 on Garibaldi Street. My brother came there with two locksmiths who promised to fix his Volga.
Before that we drank a bottle of vodka. According to drinking companions, Zhenya only took a sip, they finished the rest. Seeing that the customer felt bad, these people first fled, and then got so drunk that the police had no opportunity to interrogate them. Allegedly, they went to that entrance to a taxi driver who had already repaired his brother's car once. But when the police tried to find him, it turned out that such a person had never lived in this house.

What did the doctors say: your brother could have been saved?

The resuscitation measures were delayed, because the policemen who arrived at the scene for some reason first brought a pediatrician from a nearby polyclinic, which, of course, could not help, and only then called an ambulance.

The official conclusion about Zhenya's death says: "Acute heart failure", but today there are many more questions than answers in this matter.

The circumstances of Yevgeny Martynov's death are ambiguous: his relatives do not believe in a heart attack, they believe that it was a murder. What do you think, a former investigator?

Unfortunately, in recent years I have not spoken to him as often as I would like, and I learned about his death from the television news. I did not call, but immediately went to the Martynovs' home - they were already living on Pilyugin Street. I remember that I was struck by the broken glass doors to the staircase, the thought immediately flashed: something is wrong here. But then, having learned all the circumstances of the case, I came to the conclusion that Zhenya's death was still natural. To that, everything went - they stopped inviting him to concerts, rubbed it in every possible way, he had problems with television broadcasts, he was very worried about this, and his heart could not stand it.

Lyrics of the song "Swan Faithfulness"

Words by A. Dementyev
Music by Evgeny Martynov

Swans flew over the ground
On a sunny day
It was light and joyful for them
Together in the sky.
And the land seemed gentle
At this moment ...
Suddenly someone shot at the birds -
And a cry broke out:
"What's the matter with you, my beloved?
Respond soon -
Without your love
The sky is getting sadder.
Where are you, my beloved?
Come back soon -
With my tender beauty
Warm my heart. "
He was looking for a friend in the sky,
I called from the nest
But she answered with silence
The bird is in trouble.
Fly away to the happy lands
The swan could not -
Having lost a faithful friend,
He became lonely.
"Forgive me, darling,
For someone else's evil
That my wing
Happiness was not saved.
Forgive me darling
What a spring day
In the blue sky, as before,
We won't be together. "
And was irreparable
This trouble
That you won't meet your friend
He never.
The swan rose again to the cloud,
The song was interrupted.
And, fearlessly folded wings,
I fell to the ground.
I want swans to live
And from white flocks,
And from white flocks
The world has become kinder.
Let the swans fly across the sky
Over my land
Fly over my fate
To the bright world of people.

His mother, Nina Trofimovna, from June 1942 to September 1945, served in the evacuation hospitals of the 3rd Ukrainian Front, and met a wounded soldier Grigory Martynov at the hospital. She married him, and married him, after which the newlyweds settled in the city of Kamyshin, where they raised two sons in love and harmony - Eugene and Yuri.

Eugene spent his childhood and youth in Donbass. Yevgeny's mother Nina Martynova later said: “We then lived on the Volga, in the city of Kamyshin, and then moved to Artyomovsk. Little Zhenya was very sickly, he didn't even go to kindergarten. At home we always sang in two voices Russian and Ukrainian songs, my father played the button accordion, and so Zhenya with him all the children's matinees, spent all the holidays. And he loved music so much that we bought him an accordion. In fact, he did not have a childhood: two schools - to eat, there is no time to take a walk. I remember the teacher Zhenin said: “I would have more such students, and not those who are engaged in music from under the stick ...” Indeed, I never forced either Zhenya or Yura to study. Then Zhenya entered the Kiev Conservatory. But my father and I are invalids of the second group, from the war, and he had to move closer to us. "

Yevgeny's father Grigory Martynov was the commander of a rifle platoon of the 333rd division before being wounded, and after arriving in Artyomovsk he began working as a singing teacher in an Artyomovsk secondary school and directed amateur art activities. He talked about Eugene: “He loved our house in Artyomovsk, and it’s beautiful here ... He sent us telegrams from every city on tour, always with a return address, he was afraid of everything for me and my mother ... She kept them all : here is Ukraine, and Belarus, and the Urals, and Kamchatka ... ”But the musical career of the future famous composer began with his father's accordion, whose sound made Yevgeny leave his playing and listen to the music with delight. The boy quickly memorized the melodies he heard, and later he himself sang and danced, tapping out the rhythms of the memorized songs. He also loved to recite poetry and monologues heard in the club, cinema and on the radio. At school, Eugene showed a gift for drawing, then he got carried away with tricks and willingly showed them at school concerts. Zhenya studied well, without much difficulty, but music gradually replaced other hobbies and addictions, including football, which he loved to play since childhood. His father taught Eugene to play the button accordion, then the accordion, and when Eugene was 11 years old, his parents bought him his own professional accordion, and he enjoyed playing it in front of his classmates and neighbors. Thanks to his father and constant studies, Evgeny received good professional skills in musical improvisation and mastered the basics of accompaniment technique in different keys, which in the future allowed him to easily adapt to any singing and immediately play along with the singing even in those cases when the material was unknown to him. After eight years of age, Evgeny Martynov entered the Artyomov School of Music, the conductor and wind department, where he showed a passion for composition, and he wrote a romance for clarinet and piano, a scherzo for clarinet and piano and a prelude for piano.

After graduating from college, Eugene entered the Kiev Tchaikovsky Conservatory, and completed his education at the Donetsk Music and Pedagogical Institute. The first two songs-ballads were written by him on the verses of his fellow students L. Zhidel and T. Kireeva - "Ballad about the Komsomol members of Donbass" and "Song of the Motherland". When Martynov studied at the conservatory as a professional clarinetist, someone said about him: "This is a gift of fate." So he received the student nickname "Gift" for his outstanding abilities.

After graduation, for a year, Evgeny directed the pop orchestra of the Donetsk All-Union Research Institute of Explosive Equipment, and in 1972 he arrived in Moscow with a letter of recommendation from the Donetsk conductor to the popular pop singer Maya Kristalinskaya, who very warmly greeted the charming young man from Donbass. It was Maya Kristalinskaya, whose pop authority was very high, who sent the "well-singing composer" to Rosconcert, having previously given Martynov the most flattering recommendation. The audition at Rosconcert was successful, and they decided to test Evgeny as a soloist-vocalist in the national pop program, offering to work for a couple of months for free, which was usual for newcomers from the provinces. On his first tour of Siberia and the Far East, Yevgeny Martynov went in June 1972 along with other rising stars of the Soviet stage: young Lev Leshchenko, Valentina Tolkunova, Svetlana Morgunova, Gennady Khazanov and the jazz ensemble Melodiya just created by Vladimir Chizhik.

In 1973, he was enrolled in the Rosconcert staff, and fate immediately tied Evgeny to the Moscow poets Pavel Leonidov and David Usmanov, with whom he wrote his first songs in Moscow, which were added to the songs written earlier in Donetsk - "Lullaby to Ashes" on poems by Martsinkevichyus, "Ballad of Mother" to poems by Dementyev, "Birch" to poems by Yesenin and "A song has a name and patronymic" to poems by Lisyansky.

In June 1973, Martynov won the title of laureate of the All-Union Competition of Soviet Song Performers in Minsk, performing there the songs "Dark Night", "Migratory Birds Are Flying" and his "Ballad of Mother", for the performance of which he received the Audience Award.

Very soon the song "Ballad of Mother" was noted at the all-Union television festival "Song-74", and made the name of Yevgeny Martynov publicly known. Composer Oleg Ivanov said: “Like many others, I was struck by Zhenya's very first song. It was "The Ballad of Mother", which in those years literally swept across the country. I was struck by the music, and the poems, and the passionate performance ... And what is interesting, a year before that I was shown the poems of Andrei Dementiev, but I felt that I could not write a song on them. Poems seemed to be waiting for Martynov. Then we met him at the X World Festival of Youth and Students in Berlin. It was wonderful to sit next to Zhenya and listen to him sing. Just happiness. He combined in himself a composer, a singer, and a musician masterly playing the piano: his instrument sounded bright, orchestral. A brilliant pianist, Martynov sight-played claviers of any complexity. Once he demonstrated a musical joke - he played a piece on an inverted clavier. Zhenya had a bright melodic talent. He never went to the middle peasants. In two or three years he became one of the most popular composers. His compositions have attracted the most famous performers. In the composer's creative palette, two Slavic cultures merged: Zhenya, Russian, lived in Ukraine, which gave his melodies a special melodiousness. His songs were beautiful with the beauty that comes from the generous sunny land. And he sang them with such emotional dedication, as if for the first and last time, he burned and gave this burning to people. "

Despite the successful start of his creative career, Yevgeny Martynov's personal life did not develop for a long time. Initially, he was forced to formalize a fictitious marriage in order to obtain a Moscow residence permit. The pianist Leonty Atalyan told about this: “At one time Zhenya arranged a fictitious marriage in order to make himself a Moscow residence permit. We had a costume designer Alena Abrosimova. Good girl. She herself suggested to Zhenya: “Let's sign! Why are you suffering? " Then many musicians did this. We worked from Rosconcert. Our base was in Moscow. And when we came to Moscow, every time we had to think about where to spend the night. Zhenya often joked about this. “Leon, what train station do you spend the night at today? - he asked loudly so that the director of the collective could hear. “I’m on Kursk” “You know, I prefer the air terminal on Leningradka,” I answered. "There's a good buffet there."

In 1975, after performing the songs "Swan Faithfulness" and "Apple Trees in Blossom", Evgeny Martynov's popularity strengthened even more, and in the same year he won the "Grand Prix" of the international pop song festival "Bratislava Lyra". Moreover, it should be noted that a performer from the USSR received an award at this competition for the first time.

Soon Martynov's debut EP-EP was released with three songs performed by the author, and she broke all circulation records, being repeatedly reissued at the Melodiya Firm's record factories for almost two years. Poet Vladimir Kudryavtsev said: “Fate brought me together with Eugene in the early 70s in Moscow, at the apartment of the poet Andrei Dementyev ... I will never forget that evening. At home, Martynov's songs performed by him sounded especially confidential and very touching, full of drama and incredible sincerity. Andrei's wife Galina, perhaps listening to these confession songs more than once, could not stand it and burst into tears. Yes, and we men were excited and moved. And for a long time they were under the impression of what they heard. And for Eugene, probably, the very home environment in the living room of the Dementyev family was special. He was drawn to the family light. It turns out that he then, not having a Moscow registration and any housing, spent the night - at the Kursk railway station. He joked then: “My address is the left bench to the right of the policeman. Just don't tell this address to Andrey. I do not like it when they pity me. He will definitely invite me to live with them ... ”I stayed in Moscow for a few more days, and we lived with him in a hotel, in the same room. Eugene's sharpness, his humor and cheerfulness were captivating. He had many acquaintances in Moscow, and to the traditional question: "How is life?" - he invariably answered: "Than to live like that, it is better not God forbid to die." - “What are you doing ?! - not understanding the play on words, they told him. "You still have to live and live."

Over the years of his composing and performing career, Martynov was awarded many laureate titles and honorary diplomas. He was awarded in 1973 at the All-Union Competition of Soviet Song Performers in Minsk and the World Festival of Youth and Students in Berlin. In 1974 he was honored at the All-Union television festival of the Soviet song "Young Voices". In 1975 he received an award at the international pop song contest "Bratislava Lira" in Czechoslovakia, and in 1976 - at the international pop song contest "Golden Orpheus" in Bulgaria. In 1976 Martynov received an award at the pop song international festivals "Melodies of Friends" in Kiev, and in 1977 - at the "Decinsky Anchor" in Czechoslovakia. Unexpectedly for Martynov, foreign artists began to perform his songs. From the All-Union Copyright Agency, notifications began to come in about the performance of his songs in various parts of the world: in all socialist countries, in Finland, Spain, England, Canada, the USA and Japan.

In 1978, Yevgeny married a woman from Kiev named Evelina, in marriage with whom he had a son Sergei in 1984, who was so named after the composer Sergei Rachmaninoff and the poet Sergei Yesenin.

In 1980, the composer was awarded the honorary title of laureate of the Lenin Komsomol Prize, from 1974 to 1990 Martynov was regularly recognized as a laureate of the All-Union TV festivals "Song of the Year", and since 1984 he has become a member of the Composers' Union. His colleague, composer Georgy Movsesyan said: “Yuri Gulyaev, Zhenya and I always met on joyful occasions, performed together. We were welcome guests among sailors, astronauts and athletes. I am grateful to Zhenya for the fact that he, unlike the "one-breadbirds", did not put an earring on his ear and went on stage always smart and elegant, respecting the audience. He wanted the attitude to the song, as is the case with parents to children. And he wrote the claviers of his songs with diligence, like a student for an exam, although he was both a specialist and a master. In general, he was stupidly conscientious and treated work as something sacred, and not as a craft. Many of us rushed to another “religion”, he stayed with his god ... ”Receiving the laureate titles was accompanied by the presentation of special diplomas and prizes“ For Elegance ”,“ For Artistic Charm ”and“ For Telegenicity ”. This success with a capital letter changed the atmosphere around the name of Yevgeny Martynov, but not Yevgeny himself.

The most inspirational and fruitful was the creative alliance between Martynov and Andrei Dementiev. The Martynov-Dementyev community led to the emergence of the songs "Father's House", "Natalie", "Yesenin's Birthday", "Sorry" and "The Swallows Have Returned Home". However, other famous songwriters willingly collaborated with Yevgeny Martynov - Robert Rozhdestvensky, Andrei Voznesensky, Ilya Reznik, Igor Shaferan, Mikhail Tanich, Leonid Derbenev, Nikolai Dobronravov, Rimma Kazakova and many other authors.

Martynov's songs sounded everywhere: “I’ll give you the whole world”, “Nightingales are singing, they are pouring in ...”, “Start over”, “Seagulls over the water”, “Merry umbrella”, “Song of my love”. After 1975 Martynov released 5 author's minions with the title "Evgeny Martynov sings his songs". Circulations of these minions were instantly sold out, and often the composer himself, who generously donated records to fans, could not buy them in stores. In 1979, his large disc appeared on sale.

Martynov toured a lot in different countries of the world - the USA, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Italy, Germany, Spain, Belgium, Finland, India and Switzerland. Classmate Evgeniya Martynova professor T.I. Kireeva said: “Zhenya was an unusually cheerful, bright person. Both as a friend and as a musician, he was amazing. Life and joy always emanated from him. He generously endowed each individual and all of our student fraternity with his sunshine. I was never discouraged. When I came to the conservatory or hostel, I always joked and laughed. Where Zhenya was, there was always fun, laughter and, of course, a song. We were amazed at his resourcefulness, he knew how to stir anyone up. Usually he sat down at the piano and played, and then began to sing. "

The fact that Evgeny Martynov was very fond of joking was also confirmed by Leonty Atalyan: “Martynov kept his first fees - 400-500 rubles ... in swimming trunks, wrapped in a plastic bag. It was wealth for him. Sometimes on trips, Zhenya took out fifty rubles and stewards, sculpted them on the glass of the bus and had fun watching how the people passing by reacted. He generally liked to joke. "

Until 1990, which became his last, Yevgeny Martynov was one of the most popular and beloved authors and performers in the USSR. Yuri Martynov said: “Evgeny Martynov, in my opinion, is one of the last composers who was accepted with open arms solely for talent. “Maybe you and I really don't understand something? - Zhenya said. - I'm already tired of all this. My nerves can’t stand it ... And most importantly, I’m ashamed. It's a shame to push, almost defending with fists the right of your creativity to a place on the air ”.

Poet Vladimir Kudryavtsev said: “Over time, Eugene came to me in Kiev. It was blooming May, and suddenly it began to rain mushrooms. And when it was over, we ... went to Hydropark. We stood on the banks of the Dnieper, and just at that time a rainbow blossomed. And Zhenya says to me: “Write about it. I even have a chorus ”. And he sang: "Marcephali, Marcephali ..." It was his favorite word, the meaning of which he himself did not know. When I called him later, I said: "Hello, Marcephali!" However, on the same day, he was already humming the first lines of an unwritten song:

"Give me a gift
Colori grass raid arches ... "

We met with Eugene many times - in Moscow and Kiev. But this song remained the only one. I mean: the song is in Ukrainian ... And now it's the last one. (We are talking about the song "Kolori kohannya", in Russian - "Colors of Love"). He promised me to visit Yalta in October, where I moved to permanent residence. And so..."

On September 3, 1990, at about 10 am, Yevgeny Martynov entered the 180th police station, with which he had long maintained friendly relations (he repeatedly spoke to the police officers, introduced him to his work). He was cheerful and cheerful. An hour later, citizens called the police and said that the lifeless body of a man was lying at the entrance. Police officers urgently went to the scene, and recognized the singer and composer Yevgeny Martynov in the dead man. As it became known - he was going home, and suddenly he felt bad with his heart. He sat down on the steps at the entrance, but the pain, apparently, did not let go. Passers-by tried to help him, an ambulance was called. But Martynov's mouth began to bleed, his face began to blacken, and soon he died suddenly. The cause of death was acute heart failure. The ambulance called, which arrived 40 minutes later, could not help.

“I'll give you the whole world” - that was the title of one of the songs of the composer Yevgeny Martynov, and this is how you can title all of his work. For Evgeny Martynov really gave his admirers an immense world of Beauty, Flight, Spring and Love, forever remaining in our memory as a symbol of light, loyalty and inspiration.

Yevgeny Martynov was buried at the Novo-Kuntsevsky cemetery.

The wife of Evgeny Martynov remarried, and moved with her son to Spain. In recognition of the composer's merits, in 1992 one of the streets of Artyomovsk in Donbass was named after Yevgeny Martynov. On the initiative of cultural figures and friends of the artist in Moscow in 1993, the Moscow Cultural Society "Evgeny Martynov's Club" was created, which was engaged in cultural and charitable activities and promoted the creative heritage of the remarkable composer and singer. In 1995, a tombstone was unveiled at the grave of Yevgeny Martynov at the Novo-Kuntsevo cemetery.

In 1998, Yuri Martynov's book "The Swan Faithfulness of Evgeny Martynov" was published, in which the life and creative path of the brightest representative of the professional song art of the Soviet Union 70-80-ies of the XX century.

Both during his lifetime and after the death of Yevgeny Martynov, his songs were included in their repertoire by many popular domestic and foreign artists: Michel (Spain), K. Gott (Czech Republic), A. Herman (Poland), D. Maryanovich, M. Ungar, I. Sherfezi (Yugoslavia), L. Ivanova (Bulgaria), M. Dauer (Romania), M. Chavez (Cuba), J. Joala, A. Veski, M. Kristalinskaya, G. Nenasheva, L. Kesoglu, A. Vedishcheva, T. Miansarova, G. Chokheli, M. Kodryanu, I. Kobzon, L. Zykina, O. Voronets, S. Zakharov, S. Rotaru, V. Tolkunova, L. Leshchenko, L. Senchina, Yu. Bogatikov, E. Shavrina, G. Belov, K. Georgiadi, A. Serov, I. Ponarovskaya, N. Chepraga, L. Serebrennikov, I. Otieva, N. Gnatyuk, L. Uspenskaya, V. Vuyachich, N. Brodskaya, performers of the new (for the composer) generations - F. Kirkorov, N. Baskov, S. Pavliashvili, A. Malinin, I. Shvedova, I. Demarin, V. Gotovtseva, M. Evdokimov, Anastasia, Julian, Tanya Ostryagina; as well as such well-known collectives as the Red Banner Song and Dance Ensemble of the Soviet (Russian) Army named after A. Alexandrov, the Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of the Interior Ministry of the USSR (RF), the State Russian Folk Ensemble "Russia", vocal and instrumental ensembles - "Orera "," Gems "," Flame "," Gaya "," Nadezhda "," Chervona Ruta "," Seven Young "(Yugoslavia)," Blue Jeans "(Japan), vocal ensembles -" Russian Song "," Indian Summer "," Voronezh girls ", duet" Romen "... The composer's works have also been successfully performed (and performed) by symphonic and pop music orchestras of the All-Union (Russian) radio and television, the State Brass Band of Russia, pop and dance music orchestras of Bratislava and Ostrava radio (Slovakia and the Czech Republic), the Moscow pop orchestra "Melodia", the Orchestra conducted by Claude Caravelli (France).

Sorting through the papers of Yevgeny Martynov, his brother Yuri found recordings that can be considered the musician's creative testament. It contains the following lines: “I am close to civic lyrics - a continuation of the traditions of Soviet songs. It is important to preserve all the best that was written by composers in this genre. We must continue the traditions, otherwise we will ruin our national Russian song culture. Now girls of 14 - 17 years old began to dictate fashion. For them, the main thing is the dance rhythm. Hence the rhymes of the corresponding content. People have forgotten how to sing. And what is more important - entertainment in music or its educational value? The song has authors. Nowadays, the culture is nameless, unbridled, there is no responsibility for the composition. Members of the Composers' Union are not respected. And professionals must be respected, we were so eager to become them! A member of the creative union is almost the personification of stagnation, but the guy with the guitar is the foreman of perestroika! .. The song should unite people of all ages! "

A documentary film "Swan Song" was made about Evgeny Martynov.
